Are You Interested in Connecting Your Students to the World Around Them?

The Natchez Trace Parkway provides educational opportunities for students K-12 to connect with history, science and the arts. We invite you and your students to visit the Natchez Trace Parkway. All activities are free of charge.

Our Educational Programs are designed to meet state curriculum standards. Current programs include both natural history and Mississippi history. Specific programs are Sensory Discovery Hike and Activities (Pre-K to K), Habitat and Wildlife of the Natchez Trace Parkway (K-3rd) and Travel on the Old Trace (3rd-5th). Other programs are also under development and may be available upon request. Please call 662-680-4027 or 1-800-305-7417 to schedule a Ranger led program.

We are also on the threshold of developing new educational materials. We are interested in input from teachers who use or would like to use the NATR as a classroom resource. If you have a specific idea for a curriculum activity that you would like to see the NATR develop, please send them to

This summer we will be working hard to develop educational materials. We will be hiring college students for seasonal summer employment to assist in developing teaching materials. If you know of a student who may be interested, have them contact Terry Wildy at 662-680-4026 or 1-800-305-7417. Resumes are due April 15, 2010.
